Chapter 8) California, 2000 - What’s all the fuss about?
It was time to revisit California and review and retaste – what made this a great wine region? It was a very interesting visit- amidst a large amount of generic, ordinary wines, there were a few that stood out. These were true to my ideals of winemaking and gave the area its name and flavor. We were all capable of making such great wines, and so, the seed to Grapes of Roth and Wolffer Premier Cru took root.
