The Color is of dark red brick. The aroma is filled of prunes, smoked cedar, ripe strawberries and dark ink. The wine is full bodied with concentrated berries but still elegant structured. There are layers and layers of ripe tannins, wonderful skin characters, lush and ongoing fruit and again ripe tannins and wonderful integrated toasty oak and great minerality.

This Riesling is perfect with fresh sea food, adding a vibrancy that enhances the flavors. In addition, the lively acidity and the natural residual sugar will compliment the sweet/sour balance of spicy dishes (Indian, Sri Lankan, Thai, and Vietnamese). A great wine to bring the best out of any cheese course.

The taste is amazingly viscous and vibrant with fresh ripe citrus notes. Wonderful as a desert all on its own or great with Fois Gras, certain cheeses, and fruit driven deserts.

"The art of making a great wine lies in the passion and joy of creating something unique." - Roman Roth
“Roman Roth has attempted to pull out all the stops in crafting a couple of hundred cases of his own brand. The results are of a sort guaranteed to bring down the house at blind tastings, but it would be a shame not to set some aside in one’s cellar as well to await the verdict of time. Consumers who fail to fill up Mr. Roth’s answering machine should recall that they were warned here first.” - David Schildknecht, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, July 2006
